What is an AI rewriter?
An AI rewriter takes text you already have and produces a better version of it: clearer sentences, a more suitable tone, tighter structure. Unlike a spinner that swaps words for synonyms, it reads each paragraph as a whole, works out what it is trying to say, and writes it again so it says that more effectively.
People use an article rewriter to refresh old blog posts, adapt one piece of content for a different audience, turn rough notes into a readable draft, or shorten a long email before sending it. A paragraph rewriter or sentence rewriter does the same job at a smaller scale, which is handy when one passage reads badly and the rest is fine.
Choosing the right tone
| Mode | Best for | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Blog posts, help articles, general web copy | Clearer sentences and better flow in a neutral voice |
| Formal | Reports, proposals, official emails | Professional register, no slang or contractions |
| Casual | Newsletters, social posts, internal notes | Friendly, conversational wording with contractions |
| Persuasive | Landing pages, sales emails, pitches | Benefit-led phrasing that builds to your call to action |
| Concise | Summaries, long emails, executive updates | 25–40% fewer words, same content |
How to rewrite an article without losing quality
- Decide who the new version is for. The audience determines the tone more than anything else.
- Lock the terms that must not change: product names, legal wording and the keywords you rank for.
- Start with the Balanced level. Use Light when the draft is nearly right, and Max when it needs restructuring.
- Check facts and links in the result. The rewriter keeps them, but you own what gets published.
- Read it aloud once. If a sentence still trips you up, rewrite just that sentence again.
Rewriting vs. paraphrasing vs. humanizing
These tools overlap, but each has a job. The paraphrasing tool restates text in new words while keeping its tone. The AI rewriter improves clarity and can change the tone completely. The AI humanizer targets drafts written by AI and changes rhythm and phrasing so they read like a person wrote them. If your starting point is a ChatGPT draft, humanize first, then rewrite for tone if needed.

Straight answers
Is the AI rewriter free?
Yes. You can rewrite up to 500 words a day without an account. The daily allowance is shared with the other writing tools on HumanizerGPT.
Can it rewrite a whole article?
Yes. Paste the full article and the rewriter works through it paragraph by paragraph, keeping headings, lists and the order of your sections. Longer articles need a paid plan because the free plan covers 500 words a day.
Will the rewriter change my facts?
It should not. Numbers, names, dates, quotes and citations are kept, and no new claims or statistics are added. Read the result before you publish, as you would with any edit.
What does Concise mode do?
Concise mode says the same things in fewer words, usually 25 to 40 percent shorter, by cutting repetition and filler rather than content.
How is the AI rewriter different from the paraphrasing tool?
The paraphrasing tool restates text in new words while keeping its tone. The rewriter also changes the tone and improves clarity and flow, which suits whole articles, emails and landing pages.
Can I keep keywords for SEO?
Yes. Put your target keywords, product names or brand terms in the Keep field and they come back exactly as written, at least as often as in your original.
